To the Daake family: I want to give my condolences to you all! Being kind of a lifer in Boy Scouts and a fellow Eagle, I have a good idea of how many young men's lives Duane touched during his life. He is the "example" of being passionate about what you believed in. He was a get involved and stay involved kind of man, and I'm sure you all know that! It seemed we always talked on the phone while I was traveling, the last time a few weeks ago was no different. He was weak but we had a good short visit, I regret It didn't work to get over to see him. He was very proud of his families achievements and successes! He will be greatly missed, but he has trained many good boys to men to take up the slack! Your Friend, Tim Teegerstrom

Sylvia, so sorry to hear about Duane. These things happen when we are not expecting them. You remember that Glen just did not wake up one morning. Everyone said that was the best way for him to go......he had not been sick. I certainly hope Duane was not sick for a long time. Will see you at the funeral. Mary Lou and Mark too.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Daake family. I had many great conversations with Duane over the years, and was fortunate to have known him and been associated with him through Scouting. Duane was a great board member for the Cornhusker Council, and dedicated so much time and energy to Scouting throughout his life. Scouting will miss his influence and energy.

Sylvia, Mike and Dave and Families: All our love and prayers are with you. It's been one day at a time for a long time. But, Gpa is now at peace and in no pain. The memories are a steel fabric never to be gone. All our love, Dave and Fawn
