Volzke

Carl was born on March 5, 1911, on a farm near Staplehurst, NE to Ben and Martha (Schaal) Kamprath. He graduated from Seward High School in 1929. Carl was united in marriage to Ruth Vogel on June 10, 1934, at St. John Lutheran Church. Carl retired from the U.S. Postal Service and for many years was Sergeant of Arms for the Nebraska State Legislature. Carl passed away on August 23, 2010, in Seward, NE at the age of 99 years, 5 months and 18 days. He is survived by three sons and their wives, Roger and Shirley Kamprath of Omaha, NE, Dennis Kamprath of Grand Island, NE and Gerald and Dolly Kamprath of Valparaiso, IN ;brother and his wife, Gerhard "Gus" and Vanita Kamprath of Seward, NE; sisters-in-law, Fern Kamprath and Hannah Krueger both of Seward, NE; grandchildren, Pattie Banner, Laura (Brad) Richards, Karyn (Steve) Daake and Diana (George) Wassinger: great-grandchildren ,Sarah Banner, Alicia Fullerton, Abigail Richards and Kristin Buettner; great-great-grandchildren, Tanner McChesney, Isabella Fullerton and Savannah Carpenter; Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; brothers, Edwin and Alfred; sister and husband, Esther and Chris Vogel; grandson, Matthew Kamprath.
