Obituary:

Arthur Otte, 85 of Seward passed away peacefully on May 24, 2014 in Seward, NE. Arthur William Otte was born March 28, 1929 to Herbert and Alma (Richert) Otte at Gresham, NE. He attended St. Paul Lutheran School until the 8th grade when he began his lifelong farming career. He lived in the Gresham area all of his life. He retired from farming in 2002, moving to Heartland Park Drive in Seward. He enjoyed carpentry and wood working, as well as reading; he also loved his farm very dearly.

Survivors include, brothers, Reinhold (Leona) Otte of Surprise, NE; Martin Otte of Ulysses, NE; and William (Sharon) Otte of Denver, CO; his sister, Evelyn (Garfield) Roebke of Seward; brothers in law, Dell Peterson of Colorado Springs, CO; and Bill (Lorraine) Bloebaum of Pierce, NE; an aunt, Ocee Otte of Seward; an uncle, Henry (Bonnie) Otte of Wyoming; 9 nephews; 10 nieces and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Fredrick; sisters, Ruth Bloebaum and Louise Peterson; and sisters in law, Sherry Otte and Anne Otte.
