Delbert Richert, 83, of Seward died February 3, 2014. Delbert William Richert was born October 21, 1930 to Bernhard and Henrietta (Duesing) Richert at York. He was a 1948 graduate of Benedict High School. Delbert was united in marriage to Marian Hilda Tietjen on April 19, 1954 in Byron, NE.

He owned and operated Richertís Floor Service for over 30 years, retiring in 2002. He enjoyed nature shows, trains, college sports and especially his Kansas City Royals. He was a past member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York and St. John Lutheran in Seward.

Delbert is survived by his children, Wesley (Monica) Richert of Lincoln; Robert (Kimberly) Richert of Kailua Kona, HI; Cynthia (Ron) Wheeler of Kansas City, MO and Patricia (Delray) Werth of Seward; grandchildren, Audrey Wheeler, Byron (Erica) Wheeler, Grace Wheeler, Neil Richert, Peter Richert, Joseph Richert, Anne Richert, Ellen Richert, Casey (Matt) Glassburner, Kelly (Dani) Werth, Delton Werth, Maya Richert, India Richert and Aliyah Richert; great-grandchildren, Reagen Glassburner and Emerson Glassburner; and sister in law, LaDonna Richert. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marian, and brother, Arnold.
