Obituary:

Jeanette “Jettie” Catherine Dart was born on December 28, 1923 to Murtaugh and Gladys (Gillispie) Kirby in Stratton, Colorado. She attended St. Thomas Institute and Cathredal High School both in Lincoln, Nebraska. She then attended American Association of Commercial Colleges-National Business Institute, training to work in the secretarial field. On April 17, 1948, Jettie was united in marriage to Verne Dart in Lincoln, Nebraska. She worked for Nebraska Salesbook as a secretary for 12 years. Following that she was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. Jettie liked the outdoors and living life on the farm. She liked tending her flowers, reading and watching horse competitions. She was also an avid supporter of the Special Olympics. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Crete, Nebraska and a member of the Alter Society. Jettie passed away on September 13, 2019 in rural Denton, Nebraska at the age of 95 years, 8 months and 16 days. She is survived by her daughters, Lori (Craig) Manson, Denton, Nebraska, Dian Dart, Denton, Nebraska; daughter-in-law, Alise Dart, Seward, Nebraska. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Verne Dart; parents, Murtaugh and Gladys Kirby; son, Martin Dart; brother, Emmitt Kirby; sisters, Marie Schweitzer, Mary Hergenrader.
