Volzke

Les was born on January 11, 1965 to Eldon and Carol (Coon) Mueller in Seward, NE. He graduated from Seward High School in 1983. Les had two children from his first marriage, Justin and Kerrianne. On January 4, 2002, Les was united in marriage to Shawn Westadt at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward, NE. From this union came two children, Ian and Mattie. Prior to being employed at Memorial Health Care Systems for 12 years in plant operations, he was also employed at Tenneco Automotive (Seward), and Lee’s Refrigeration (Seward.) He also had a love for entertaining, as he ran his own DJ service, The Music Connection. He was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church, Seward, NE and also at Hope Lutheran Church, Shawnee, KS. Les was a past member of Seward Volunteer Fire Department as an EMT and firefighter, a volunteer Cub Scout leader in Shawnee, KS, and was a charter member of the Seward Youth and Community Club in Seward, NE. Les enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking, carpentry and restoring antiques. Les passed away on December 25, 2011 at his home in Lutherville, MD at the age of 46 years 11 months, 14 days. He is survived by his wife, Shawn; children, Justin Mueller, Goehner, NE, Kerrianne Mueller, Lincoln, NE, Ian Mueller, Lutherville, MD, Mattie Mueller, Lutherville, MD, Rhiannon Root, Lincoln, NE; mother, Carol Mueller, Maryville, MO; brother, Lonnie (Linda) Mueller, Lincoln, NE; sisters, Lori (Jan) Fricke, Ulysses, NE, Linde Nelson, Maryville, MO; nieces and nephews, Derek Mueller, Devin Mueller, Stacia (Jason) Olsen, Brenden Fricke, Lukas Fricke, Soren Nelson, Sheldon Nelson, and Sierra Nelson. Les was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Mueller.
