Aaron Samuel Rathje

Aaron Samuel Rathje, of Seward, was born on July 12, 1983 to Bradley Gale and Dina Jean (Critel) Rathje in York, Nebraska.  He attended Centennial High School graduating in 2002.  Aaron attended college at South Dakota University and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.  He received his degree in Ag Business and Agronomy from UNL.  On July 28, 2018, Aaron was united in marriage to Alicia Wichman at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward.  Aaron worked as a Sales Agronomist for Blue River Ag in Beaver Crossing.  Deer and snow geese hunting were his passions.  He also loved attending Husker football and baseball games.  The truest joy in his life was quality time spent with his wife and sons.  Aaron passed away on June 21, 2022 near Friend, Nebraska at the age of 38 years, 11 months and 9 days.  He is survived by wife, Alicia Rathje of Seward, Nebraska; sons, Arthur Lyle and Alvin Gale Rathje; parents, Bradley and Dina Rathje; Nebraska; sister, Cori Rathje; brother-in-law, Mason Williams; lifelong best friend, Cole Anderson; mother-in-law, Lori Allen; grandmother, Dolores Bartholomew; sisters-in-law, Kendra (Chris) Morton, Allie Novak and Victoria Novak; nieces, Arielle and Shyanne Morton, Charlie Novak; nephew, Ryker Novak; many uncles, aunts and cousins.
