Barbara Mae (Jacobsen) Meyer

Barbara Mae Meyer, of York (formerly of Seward), was born on July 25, 1937 to Melvin and Mary Ada (Bye) Jacobsen in Garland, Nebraska.  She graduated from Garland High School in 1955. She resided in Lincoln and Seward, Nebraska. Barbara worked in advertising for the Nebraska Press Association for 34 years. She was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ in Seward.  In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, reading and going on walks. Barbara passed away on January 4, 2023 in York, Nebraska at the age of 85 years. She is survived by her children, Shirley Meyer of York, Nebraska, Dallas (Les) Lewis of Lincoln, Nebraska, Alvin (Pam) Meyer of Garland, Nebraska, Pam (Doug) Petschke of Malcolm, Nebraska, Mary Drazic (fiancé, James Smith) of Beatrice, Nebraska; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren; brother, Gary (Deb) Jacobsen of Garland, Nebraska; sister, Carol (Dennis) Dougherty of Seward, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Barb Jacobsen of Lincoln, Nebraska; nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Mary Jacobsen; daughter, Marlene Gustafson; brother, Robert Jacobsen; brother-in-law, Kenneth VanDerslice and sister-in-law, Jacquelyn Jacobsen.
