Bonnie Ella (Luebcke) Davis was born July 24, 1943 to Franklin and Virginia Luebcke in Norfolk, Nebraska. Bonnie passed away on December 24, 2021 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 78 years and five months.
Although Bonnie lived in many places in her early years, as a young adult she settled in Payson, Arizona. While in Payson she worked for the Payson Police Department as a police officer, animal control officer as well as a police officer for Tonto Apache Police. Bonnie received many commendations throughout her time as a first responder.
Following an on-the-job injury Bonnie had to leave the job she loved, sold her home in Payson and moved to Neosho, Missouri. While in Missouri you could find Bonnie with her friends at the YMCA for water aerobics, attending Sunday School at Northside Baptist Church or playing games with family and friends, cards and specifically Missouri Rummy being favorites.
Bonnie enjoyed traveling including an Alaskan cruise with her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter, a trip to Florida with a sister and brother-in-law as well as travel to California, Oregon and Washington to visit family.
Bonnie's love of cats was evident and there wasn't a time she didn't have at least two or more. She rescued and adopted those who seemed to know she would love and care for them.
Bonnie is survived by her son, Daniel Davis, of Seward; daughter and son-in-law Raeanne Davis Nuttell and Kenny Nuttall of Riverside, California and son and daughter-in-law, John and Becky Stump of Neosho, Missouri. Bonnie’s surviving grandchildren are Andrew Hill (fiancé Nissa Hennessy), Matthew (and Kristina) Hill, Aaron (and Yoshimi) Davis, Chad (and Ale) Davis, Danielle (and Branden) Morris, Zachary Carter-Stump and Trinity Stump and great grandchildren Chase Hill, Autumn Hill, Dax Davis, Delilah Davis, Audrie Davis, Kai Davis, Lilly Davis, Atley McClellen and Jude Morris. She is also survived by sisters, Frankie Lee of Hassell, North Carolina, Myrna (and George) Marks of Vancouver, Washington, Janiece (and Garey) Wood of Damascus, Oregon as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Frank and Virginia Luebcke, a sister Sharon Morgan, her former husband, Dale Davis, a son Michael James and a grandson, Seth Davis as well as three brothers-in-law, William Kemper, Timothy Unzicker and Clarence Morgan.
The family requests that masks be worn during visitation and the funeral. Thank you.
