Carol Ann (Loontjer) Isaac

Carol Ann (Loontjer) Isaac of Seward, Nebraska daughter of Edwin and Louise (Kniep) Loontjer, was born on November 27, 1945 in Deshler, Nebraska.  She attended Bethlehem Lutheran in Kiowa for eight years and then Deshler High School.  Carol was united in marriage to Alvin H. Isaac of Fairbury on July 17, 1966 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Kiowa, Nebraska.  They lived 20 years in Fairbury before moving to Seward in 1986.  They attended St. John Lutheran Church in Seward where she enjoyed attending bible studies.  She also volunteered for the altar guild, sewing quilts for Orphan Grain Train and other committees.  She was a member of the VFW and hospital auxiliaries.  She taught Special Education at Seward Public Schools for twenty two years.  In her free time she enjoyed sewing, reading, crocheting, gardening and going for walks.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.  Carol passed away on December 6, 2020 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 75 years and 9 days.  She is survived by her husband, Alvin H. Isaac, Seward, Nebraska; children, Debra (Lynn) Mohling, Council Bluffs, Iowa, Douglas (Tonya) Isaac, Omaha, Nebraska, Daniel (Samantha) Isaac, Scribner, Nebraska; grandchildren, Jarod Mohling, Ashley Mohling, Jordan Mohling, Savannah Mohling, Christopher Isaac, Anthony (Nicole) Isaac, Aaron Isaac, Haley Isaac, Carson Isaac, Colby Isaac; brother, Michael A. Loontjer, Columbus, Nebraska; sisters, Leora (Jerry) Kuhlmann, Grand Island, Nebraska, Linda (Dwayne) Brettmann, Seward, Nebraska, Rebecca (Bob) Reinke, Deshler, Nebraska.  Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Louise Loontjer; brother, Edwin G. Loontjer.
