Carol "Sherry" Lee (Christian) Noler

Carol Lee Noler of Seward, Nebraska (formerly of Beaver Crossing) was born on July 20, 1932 to Carl and Dorothy (Vogt) Christian in Beaver Crossing, Nebraska.  Carol graduated from Beaver Crossing High School graduating in 1950.  She attended Doane College in 1950 and 1951 and taught school in District #16 for two years.  On December 14, 1951 Carol was united in marriage to Berle Noler in Beaver Crossing.  Ten days after their wedding, Berle was sent to Korea for 1 ½ years.  Carol lived her entire life in Beaver Crossing with the exception of one year (1943-1944) during World War II in which she lived in Ft. Collins, Colorado.  Carol was a member of Beaver Crossing United Methodist Church, United Methodist Church Women, Chamber of Commerce, Village Board for 12 years and American Legion Auxiliary.  She served as Director of Golden Age, hospice volunteer since 1998 and church pianist for 8 years.  She was on the LIFE newsletter staff since 1976, member of Mission Sewing Group, Sunday school teacher and food pantry volunteer.  She enjoyed participating in Meals on Wheels.  Carol had an avid love for feeding her feathered friends. She was a strong supporter and fan of her beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers.  She loved helping all those needing various kinds of assistance.  She also participated in gospel singing groups and other activities showing her love for her Lord & Savior.  She especially loved watching her grandchildren’s activities.  Carol passed away on December 29, 2020 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 88 years, 5 months and 9 days.  She is survived by her children, Becky (Deon) Gocke, Waco, Nebraska, Kris (Terry) Bartholomew, Beaver Crossing, Nebraska, Kelly (Connie) Noler, Vienna, Georgia; grandchildren, Brooke Cast, Austin Gocke, Mark Bartholomew, Marcy Dodd, Kerri Nunley, Jessie Edmisten, Nate Noler, Aaron Noler, Daniel Noler; sister-in-law, Joyce Christian, Seward, Nebraska.  Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Dorothy Christian; husband, Berle Noler; brother, Richard Christian.
