Dale Ivan Anderson was born on February 17, 1934 to Duane and Ruth (Heyen) Anderson in Milford, Nebraska. He attended Seward High School graduating in 1951. On July 19, 1952 Dale was united in marriage to Rita Coffey in Seward, Nebraska. Dale enlisted in the Navy Reserves. He was employed as a service technician for Minnegasco (now Black Hills Energy) for 45 years. Dale lived in Milford and Seward, Nebraska throughout his life. He was always an active member of the community as a semi-pro baseball player, baseball coach, Boy Scout leader, volunteer on the Rescue Squad and Chief of the Milford Fire Department. In his free time, Dale enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, gardening and playing cards. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Dale passed away on January 1, 2026 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 91. He is survived by his children, Marty (Cindy) Anderson of Lincoln, Corey (April) Anderson of Lincoln and Eric (Kelly) Anderson of Ceresco; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Kemper of Crete; companion Joyce Forst of Milford; grandchildren, Stephanie Anderson Lavin, Becky Warburton, Katie (Matt) Joens, Jennifer (Garrett) Anderson, Kristin (Scott) Anderson Haecker and Ally Anderson; great grandchildren, Jake Lavin, R.J. Lavin, Jovie Lavin, Royce Warburton, Evy Warburton, Skylar Joens, Nolan Joens, Skylar Roehrs, Emma Roehrs, Jacob Anderson, Kaylee Anderson and Brooklynn Haecker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Duane and Ruth Anderson; wife, Rita Anderson; son, Steve Anderson; siblings, Don (Virginia) Anderson, Kenneth (Linda) Anderson and Sharon Neihardt.
