Debora Kay McElravy was born on October 2, 1963 to Ronald and Elaine (Obermier) Battreall in Henderson, Nebraska. She attended McCool Junction High School graduating in 1982, then attended Lincoln School of Commerce graduating with an Associates Degree in Accounting in 1983. On June 25, 1988 Deb was united in marriage to Daniel McElravy at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York, Nebraska.
She worked for Spectrum Reach as an Account Coordinator. She was very involved with the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Crete Public Schools throughout her life. She supported her family and attended events like cheer, robotics, and softball. Deb was always willing to pitch in to do house projects for family and she opened her home for friends to stay as long as they needed. If you needed to vent, cry, or share a story she was always there to listen or give advice. Much of her free time was spent helping others and she impacted so many lives.
Deb passed away on March 20, 2024 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 60. She is survived by her husband, Dan McElravy of Crete, Nebraska; children, Kendra McElravy (Logan Gates) of Lincoln, Nebraska and Preston McElravy of Lincoln, Nebraska; mother, Elaine Battreall of Lushton, Nebraska; brother, Kevin (Vicki) Battreall of Montezuma, Iowa; sister-in-law, Leanna Battreall of Waukee, Iowa; parents-in-law, Dennis and Marilyn McElravy; brother-in-law, Don McElravy of Lincoln, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Kathy (Tom) Langlois of Montgomery, Texas; many nieces and nephews. Deb was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Battreall and brother, Greg Battreall.
