Dolores Ella Pozehl was born on June 27, 1933 to Charles and Ida (Kaeding) Heinike in Thayer, Nebraska. She attended York High School for three years, then attended Thayer High School for her senior year, graduating in 1951. On June 24, 1951 Dolores was united in marriage to Marlin Pozehl at St Paul Lutheran Church, Thayer, NE. Dolores’ calling was to be a homemaker for her husband and children. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bridge, crafting, and attending church services and events. Dolores enjoyed volunteering at her church and in her community. It was usually behind the scenes where she felt the most comfortable. Doing cradle roll at church for years, washing communion ware and helping with meals on wheels are examples of where she felt she could serve others. Dolores passed away on October 17, 2025 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 92. She is survived by her husband, Marlin Pozehl of Seward, Nebraska; children, Allen (Bunny) Pozehl of Gretna, Nebraska, Brenda (Don) Hain of Lincoln, Nebraska; grandchildren, Seth (Kendra) Hain, Derek (Emily) Hain, Kara (Anthony) Fine and Kimberly (Jordan) Rhodes; great grandchildren, Xander Hain, Aliya Hain, Marlin (Leo) Hain, Connor Rhodes, Jackson Rhodes, Henry Fine, Lily Fine, Alfie Fine and Oliver Fine. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Ida Heinike; her brother Lyle Heinike; sisters Verla Terrall, Betty Cartright and Elizabeth Heinike; granddaughter, Lisa Marie Pozehl.
