Dustin Michael Smith was born on June 29, 1978 to Kim McMullen in Lincoln, Nebraska. He attended Lexington High School graduating in 1996. He worked as a material handler for Great Plains Ethanol Plant in York, Nebraska. In his free time, Dustin enjoyed making everyone laugh, watching the Denver Broncos, cooking, grilling and smoking meats. He liked to work in the garage with his tools, driving around town in his new side-by-side, hanging out with friends and family, and attending concerts. He especially enjoyed spending time with his son. Dustin passed away on August 25, 2024 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 46. He is survived by his son, Braxton Clark of Lincoln, Nebraska; significant other, Rachel Jacobsen of Seward, Nebraska; mother, Kim McMullen of Grand Island; siblings, Tyler, Andy, and Kinsey Krings of the surrounding areas. Dustin was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Beatrice Meyer.
