Edward L McRoberts Sr.

Edward L McRoberts Sr., age 78, of Lincoln Ne, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on April 21st 2026.  Born January 12,1948 to Roy and Mary (Deal) McRoberts, in Walthill NE. He moved around a lot growing up and at the age of 17 he married Alice Faye Means on May 13th 1965, They lived in Walthill NE , where they raised their family. In 1989 they moved to Lincoln Ne, where he resided at the time of his passing. Ed had a love for the road and was a Semi truck driver for 50 years. In his spare time he loved to play guitar  On May 13th 2025 Edward and Alice celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Ed was survived by his brother Stanley McRoberts, Daughters, MaDonna  McRoberts of Lincoln Ne., Bobbie Jo (Mike) Birkel of Garland Ne,  Sabrina Johnson of Boone IA and Laurie Swierczek of Nebraska City , NE , Son Leroy (Amanda) McRoberts of Sgt. Bluff IA, and Daughter-in-law Dena McRoberts of Homer NE, 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Alice McRoberts,  parents Roy and Mary McRoberts, mother and father-in-law Mary and Raymond Means, brother, Jerry McRoberts, sister Donna Loos, sister-in-law Linda Means, son Edward McRoberts Jr. , daughter and son-in-law Billie Jo and Mikeal Jensen, grandson Patrick Jensen and  great granddaughter Rylie Brooke Garcia.
