Eldon E. Lansdown, 77, of Seward, NE, formerly from Texhoma, Oklahoma, passed away, at his home on July 10, 2023, with loving family is by his side. Eldon was born in Woodward, OK on September 11, 1945, to parents Perry and Velda (Campbell) Lansdown. Eldon graduated from Woodward high school with the class of 1964. He signed up with the United States Airforce right out of high school. He served during the Vietnam era, 1965 – 1969. On April 3, 1971, Eldon married Becky Toombs in Texhoma, OK, at the United Methodist Church. After Eldon’s military years, he worked in law enforcement, surviving a gunshot wound while working an armed robbery. He retired after 40 years of service, to the State of Oklahoma. He is a retired Texhoma Volunteer Firefighter as well, even winning firefighter of the year. He was a dedicated public servant, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Eldon and Becky did everything together. They loved camping, fishing and just relaxing in the cool Rocky Mountains of New Mexico. Red River, New Mexico was their favorite destination, where they would take many trips and even made some amazing friends that they consider friends for life, it was the best of times. Eldon is survived by his beloved wife, Becky, of 52 years. He always said, “Love at First Sight”. It sure was with Becky. Their only child, Casey Joann and her husband Ron Stanek of Seward. Four grandsons, Kiefer Keylon and wife, Annie, of Topeka, KS, Karson Stanek and fiancé Sky Brumm, of Seward, NE, Quentin Stanek of Seward, NE and Jakob Stanek of Jacksonville, NC, Two granddaughters, Brooklyn Stanek and Sydnee Stanek of Seward, NE, Two great grandchildren, Allie and Kanen Keylon of Topeka, KS.
