Eugene Lee Hladky

Eugene Lee Hladky of Utica, Nebraska was born on April 20, 1949 to Emanuel and Josephine (Vrbka) Hladky in Seward, Nebraska.  He attended high school at Utica High School, graduating in 1967.  On September 7, 1973 Eugene was united in marriage to Joan Nordmeyer at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Seward.  Eugene farmed and also worked at Goodyear in Lincoln.  In his free time he enjoyed fishing, playing pool, hunting, golfing and traveling.  He also liked cars, specifically the 1962 Chevy.  He especially enjoyed his tomato pivos. Eugene passed away on January 19, 2021 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 71 years, 8 months and 30 days.  He is survived by his wife Joan Hladky, Utica, Nebraska; children, Adam Hladky, Utica, Nebraska, Sally (Robert) Saf, Ceresco, Nebraska, Beth (Jason) Coffman, Lincoln, Nebraska; grandchildren, Brielle Hladky, Madelyn Saf, Karissa Saf, Nicholas Saf, Cooper Saf, Hayes Coffman; mother-in-law, Delores Nordmeyer, York, Nebraska; brothers, Ray (Virginia) Hladky, Kansas City, Missouri, Ben Hladky, Los Cruces, New Mexico, John (Rosie) Hladky, Stuart, Nebraska; sisters, Mary Lou Codr, David City, Nebraska, Janice Perkins, Broomfield, Colorado; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jan and Bob Palik, David City, Nebraska; nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Emanuel and Josephine Hladky; daughter-in-law, Nicole Hladky; sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Jim Chermok; brothers-in-law, Don Codr and Jim Perkins.
