Frank Lavicky was born on September 1, 1941 to Frank and Martha (Brabec) Lavicky in rural Dwight, Nebraska. He attended school at a rural country school and then Dwight Assumption School. He graduated from Seward High School in 1960. He then attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, graduating in 1965 with a Bachelors of Science in Ag Economics. On March 31, 1978, Frank was united in marriage to Jean Tempel at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Seward, Nebraska. He farmed for his entire adult life. Farming wasn't only his career but life and hobby. He also worked for Farm Credit from 1965-1981. He was a former member of Nebraska Air National Guard and Seward Jaycees. Frank passed away on July 24, 2018 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 23 days. He is survived by his wife, Jean Lavicky, Seward, Nebraska; sons, Brian (Mindy) Lavicky, Axtell, Nebraska, Brad (Alisha) Lavicky, Garland, Nebraska, Matt (Ashley) Brandl, Lincoln, Nebraska; grandchildren, Taaron Lavicky, Kolton Lavicky, Izayah Lavicky, Zakaryah Lavicky, Beckham Lavicky, Maddox Brandl; sister, Donna Richtsmeier, Minneapolis, Minnesota; sister-in-law, Helen Lavicky, Stromsburg, Nebraska; mother-in-law, Janet Tempel. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Martha Lavicky; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dolores and Clint Volkmer, Dorothy and Bob Meduna; brother, Fred Lavicky; father-in-law, Richard Tempel; brothers-in-law, Bob Richtsmeier, Bruce Tempel.
