Frieda Schwabauer

Frieda Schwabauer was born on October 17, 1942 to Henry and Lydia (Greenemeyer) Schwabauer in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was baptized on December 20, 1942. She worked with her brother, Alex, helping him clean buildings in Lincoln. Frieda lived at Ridgewood for 8 years. During that time she was loved by many of the Ridgewood staff. They brought out Frieda's ornery side. She was loved well there and her laugh could be heard in the Cardinal wing often. She loved her room. John and Jenny, fellow residents, helped Frieda with bingo. Frieda never learned to read but she was sharper than she would let on. She loved watching t.v. especially The Price is Right, Judge Judy, Reba and The Golden Girls. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Seward. Frieda passed away on December 20, 2018 at the age of 76 years, 2 months and 3 days in Seward, Nebraska. She will be missed by all those who knew her. Frieda is survived by her sister-in-law, Joanne Schwabauer, Lincoln, Nebraska; numerous nieces and nephews; special family, Mark Schultz, Lincoln, Nebraska, Cathy Peterson, Utica, Nebraska, Cindy Meyer, Papillion, Nebraska, Connie Butler (Guardian), Seward, Nebraska, Cristy Richters, Utica, Nebraska, Deb Fehlhafer, Utica, Nebraska, Amy Walton, Round Rock, Texas, Peg Baylor, Aledo, Texas. Frieda was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lydia Schwabauer; sister, Emma Rathbun; brothers, Henry "Hank" Schwabauer Jr., Alex Schwabauer; special caregivers, Richard and Ardella Schultz.
