Gregory Edward Matulka Jr.

Gregory Edward Matulka, Jr. was born on December 18, 1979 to Greg Sr. and Linda (Leighton) Matulka in Seward, Nebraska.  He attended East Butler High School and Seward High School.  Greg worked in the field of HVAC. In his free time, he enjoyed rebuilding computers, working on vehicles, riding ATV’s and motorcycles, playing cards, chess and dominoes, and going fishing. He was a genuine person with a heart of gold and treasured his family, friends and God.  Greg passed away on April 20, 2023 in Staplehurst, Nebraska at the age of 43 years, 4 months and 2 days.  He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Linda and Wayne Oestreich of Beatrice, Nebraska; brother, Joe (Wendy) Matulka of Seward, Nebraska; sister, Angie (Kenny) Pence of Seward, Nebraska; nieces, Emma Matulka, Grace Matulka and Kristen Pence; nephews, Justin Matulka and Nathan Pence; grandma, Dorothy Matulka; aunts and uncles, Mari Matulka and John Sidzyik, Dolly and Paul Collins, Betsy and Joe Bridgeford, Kenny Jr. and Elizabeth Leighton, Gerald and Irene Leighton and Mike and Kim Leighton; a host of extended family and cherished friends. Greg was preceded in death by his father, Greg Matulka, Sr.; sister, Sherry Matulka; grandpa, Edward J. Matulka; uncle, Scott Lund; cousin, Leslie Lund; grandparents, Roberta and Kenneth S. Leighton, Sr.
