Henry W. Pankoke was born on July 18, 1927 to F. Henry and Elsie (Hippe) Pankoke in Goehner, Nebraska. He attended Goehner High School. On September 25, 1949, Henry was united in marriage to Myrtle Heiden in York, Nebraska. He worked for the State of Nebraska Department of Roads as Maintenance Foreman in Seward for over 47 years. In his free time, Henry enjoyed gardening and attending the Seward Senior Center. He was a former Lions Club Member. Henry passed away on January 23, 2026 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 98. He is survived by his children, Mark (Claudia) of Lincoln, Nebraska and Pamela Pankoke of Seward, Nebraska; Denise (Mike) Fields, Eric Pankoke and Jeff (Mindy) Pankoke; 6 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, F. Henry and Elsie Pankoke; his wife, Myrtle Pankoke; his siblings, Maxine Price, Clarence Pankoke, Delores Carey and Shirley Pankoke; sister-in-law, Pearl Heiden Chesley and brother-in-law, Arthur Heiden.
