Janet Kay Toogood

Janet Kay Toogood was born on May 3, 1942 to John Adams and Bernice Adams Tichy in Niobrara, Nebraska. She graduated from Niobrara High School.  On August 28, 1971, Janet was united in marriage to Arthur Toogood in Seward, Nebraska. They lived in Hastings, Nebraska, until Art’s death in 2013, at which point she returned to Seward, Nebraska.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed caring for her family. Janet passed away on January 30, 2026 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 83.  She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bernice Adams and her husband, Arthur Toogood.  Janet is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Vlasta and Robert Dahms of Seward, Nebraska; niece and her husband, Jan M. Dahms and Anthony Savini of Chappaqua, New York; niece, Lisa Stamm of Idaho Springs, Colorado; grand niece, Miranda Stamm and grand nephew, Bobbie Hester, both of Colorado.
