Jean Kinnamon was born on June 3, 1934 to Arlo L. and Iris M. (Wadick) Beggs in Dorchester, Nebraska. She graduated from Dorchester High School in 1951. On May 23, 1954 Jean was united in marriage to Elbern Kinnamon in Dorchester, Nebraska. She was a bookkeeper at the Seward Hospital and worked at Consumer United Public Power. She was a secretary at Seward United Methodist Church and also engaged in farming with her husband. Jean loved her cat, Ollie, which she lost a few days prior to her passing. In her free time, she enjoyed camping, rose gardening and cooking. She also liked Husker volleyball, polka music and collecting cobalt blue glassware. Jean was a member of Seward United Methodist Church. Everyone who knew her knew what a kind person she was. Jean passed away on December 23, 2023 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 89. She is survived by her children, David (Fawn) Kinnamon of Raymond, Nebraska and Dan Kinnamon of Seward, Nebraska; grandchildren, Bobbi Jo Garvel of Cumming, Georgia, Dustin (Michelle) Daake of Cape Coral, Florida, Keye (Nichole) Kinnamon of Seward, Nebraska and Brecken (Ariel) Kinnamon of Strasburg, Colorado; great grandchildren, Aidan Garvel, Ryker Garvel, Dane Garvel, Aloni Daake, Emi Daake, Dylan Brooks, Ty Wehrs, Eli Kinnamon, Abby Kinnamon, Bryce Kinnamon and Kace Kinnamon. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Arlo and Iris Beggs; husband, Gene Kinnamon; parents-in-law, Willard and Mabel Kinnamon; brother and sister-in-law, Lyle and Jean Beggs; sister and brother-in-law, Mona and Glen Perkins.
