Joan Kay (Knorr) Nichols

Joan Kay (Knorr) Nichols of Lincoln was born on October 4, 1949 to Erich and Geraldine (Hinze) Knorr in York, Nebraska.  She attended Utica High School graduating in 1967.  She then attended University of Nebraska earning her Bachelor’s degree in Business Education.  She worked for RDO Truck Centers as a bookkeeper.  In her free time, she enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing, board games and puzzles.  She was an avid sports fan.  Joan passed away on April 28, 2023 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 73 years, 6 months and 24 days.  She is survived by her husband, Roger Nichols of Lincoln, Nebraska; children, Michael Nichols and Lauri (daughter in-law) of Lincoln and Amy Jo Nichols of Lincoln; grandchildren, Noah, Benjamin and Isabelle; siblings, Dave Knorr, Verna Louch and Don Knorr.  Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Erich and Geraldine Knorr.
