Jordan Charles Ortmeier

Jordan Charles Ortmeier was born on December 15, 1991, in Norfolk Nebraska to Mark and Kathleen (Riggins) Ortmeier. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Utica, Nebraska where his faith was the cornerstone of his life.  Jordan graduated from Centennial High School in 2010 and then went on to earn his bachelor's degree in education from the University of Nebraska Kearney in 2015 and then his master’s degree from Peru State College. Jordan touched many lives through education having taught history at Lewiston, Giltner and then came home to teach at Centennial High School for five years. He especially enjoyed learning and teaching about WWII history and was even blessed with a trip to Germany for a WWII tour in college. Some of Jordan’s hobbies included basketball, golf, coaching and taking care of his cat Sandy. One of his favorite things to do though was playing with and Face Timing his nieces and nephew. Jordan is survived by his parents, Mark and Kathleen Ortmeier of Utica, Nebraska; sister, Michelle (Wayne) Rawson of Oxford, Nebraska, nieces Maggie, Lydia and Kinsley Rawson; nephew, Dakota Rawson. Jordan is preceded in death by his Grandparents Howard and Lois Riggins and his Grandmother Beverly Ortmeier.
