Joseph Jaromir Maly

Joseph Jaromir Maly, age 93, died June 4, 2018 in Greensboro, NC. He was born on March 12, 1925 to Josef and Ruzena Maly in Blesno, Czech Republic. He served in the Czech Army as a corporal during World War II. Joseph was the Head Chef at Kutna Hora Hospital before escaping communist Czechoslovakia in 1969. He and his children came to the United States and became citizens. He was a long-time resident of Lincoln, working as a specialty chef and retired from the Lincoln Electric System after 25 years of service. He will be remembered for his contributions to the immigrant community in Lincoln and his gentle, playful, and generous nature. Joseph is survived by his son, Martin Maly of CO; daughter, Marcella (Michael) Preuss in TX; and granddaughter, Jordan Maly-Preuss (Aaron Hanson) in the UK.
