Kenneth C. Owens was born on June 22, 1946, to Cleo and Constance (Pariset) Owens in Seward, Nebraska. Kenneth was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith. He attended high school at Utica, graduating in 1964. Kenneth enlisted in the Air Force National Guard in August of 1964 and served until August of 1971. On January 7, 1967, Kenneth was united in marriage to Sharon Winkelman at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Utica, Nebraska. He dedicated his life to farming with his family for over 60 years. Kenneth served as an elder and active member at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling with family, watching football, especially the Huskers and New England Patriots, hunting, fishing, and bowling. Kenneth is survived by his wife Sharon, children Dana Scott of Lincoln, Nebraska, Stacey (Shannon) Owens of Utica, Nebraska, Wendy (Brock) Wettstead of Lincoln, Nebraska. Grandchildren, Brianna Scott, Peyton Owens, Jasmine (Peyton) Codr, Alyssa (Parker) Samson, Grady Owens, Owen Wettstead and Ella Wettstead. Great grandchildren, Kyrin, Jamar, Maya, Xanthea, Amhara, and Brooks. Sister Ruth Borchers, sister-in-law Wanda Owens, sister-in-law LaVerne (Imad) Raad, brother-in-law Fred (Rose) Winkelman, and brother-in-law Duane Liston. He is preceded in death by his parents Cleo and Constance Owens, parent-in-laws Alvin and Bonnie Winkelman, brother Rex Owens, brother-in-law Delmar Borchers, sister-in-law Fran Liston, and brother-in-law Al Winkelman.
