Kevan Glenn Stepp was born on September 23, 1954 to Glenn and Neva (Kapke) Stepp in Seward, Nebraska. He attended Seward High School graduating in 1972. Following high school he attended Southeast Community College in Milford, Nebraska graduating with a degree in Machine & Tool Technology. On March 14, 1978 Kevan was united in marriage to Terri Hughes in Las Vegas, Nevada. To this union, two sons and a daughter were born. Kevan was the owner of Seward Machine & Tool for 39 years working as a tool and die maker. He prided himself on his precision and quality products. He was especially proud of his son’s accomplishments. In his free time, he enjoyed walleye fishing, hunting, collecting Red Wing stoneware, watching Husker sports and spending time with his four adorable grandkids. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where he attended grade school, was baptized and confirmed. He was also a member of the Red Wing Collectors Society. Kevan passed away on January 5, 2025 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 70. He is survived by his wife, Terri Stepp of Seward, Nebraska; children, Ryan (Kelly) Stepp of Elkhorn, Nebraska and Nathan (Megan) Stepp of Seward, Nebraska; grandchildren, Emma, Molly, Kellan and Keegan; and sister, Shelley Stepp of Valencia, California; and aunt, Artie Rutledge of Waco, Nebraska. Kevan was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Neva Stepp; daughter, Angela Stepp and sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Aloyce Volzke; uncles, Ross Rutledge and Don (Myrtle) Kapke.
