Kimberly Jo Dowding

Kimberly Jo Dowding was born on March 15, 1970, to Paul and Catherine (Bazer) Liekhus in Columbus, Nebraska.  She attended Lincoln High School graduating in 1988.  She then attended DeVry University in Kansas City, Missouri. Kimberly married Richard "Rick" Dowding Jr. on November 25, 1989, and divorced in August of 2004. To their union was born two children Joshua and Sarah. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, doing latch hooks and watching criminal minds.  Kimberly passed away on February 23, 2025, in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 54.  She is survived by her significant other, Gene Selby;  Father, Paul (Elaine) Liekhus: siblings, Deane (Jeff) Moeller, Joseph (April) Liekhus, and Amanda Johnston; children, Joshua Dowding and Sarah (Michael) Wright; other loved ones, Gene (Rachel) Selby, Chris Selby and Amber Selby; grandchildren, Braylon Wright, Andrew Selby and Logan Selby, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Kimberly was preceded in death by her mother Catherine Liekhus and her Husband Harvey Johnston.
