God entrusted Lois to the loving care of her parents, Julius and Josephine Kraft, on October 13, 1925, in rural Hebron, Nebraska. On October 18, 1925, her parents, in faithfulness to God's command and promise, brought her to Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was received into His family through the sacrament of Holy Baptism. On May 5, 1940, she publicly reaffirmed the faith given to her in baptism. By God's grace, her faith was nourished and sustained throughout her life through His Word and Sacraments.
On September 20, 1953, Lois was united in Christian marriage to Norman Burger. God blessed their union with three children: Kathleen (Kim) Fashner of Troy, Ohio; Rev. Norman (Betsy) Burger Jr. of Grand Ledge, Michigan; and Bruce Burger of Seward, Nebraska. She was also blessed with grandchildren—Seth Fashner, Micah (Jackie) Fashner, and Jordan (Allie) Fashner; Benjamin (Brooke) Burger and Mark (Aislinn) Burger—as well as two great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Lois completed her earthly journey and entered eternal life on February 26, 2025.
Memorials can be given to The Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary Scholarship Fund, which supports students as they complete their course of study necessary for preparation to proclaim the gospel. https://community.wisluthsem.org/
