Naber, Lorraine (Eicher) was born February 20, 1946. She passed away peacefully on February 9, 2019 at age 72 in Erie, PA surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Seward, NE to Benjamin and Nora (Meyer) Eicher. Lorraine graduated from high school in Garland, NE, and moved to Grand Island, NE when she married her husband David Naber from Utica, NE. They had two children Michelle Naber-Smedley (Menlo Park, CA) and Michael Naber (Erie, PA). While in Grand Island, Lorraine worked for New Holland and Omaha National Bank's computer center, which would later become FirsTier Bank. She was promoted at FirsTier Bank eventually becoming Vice President of General Services in Omaha. The family relocated from Grand Island to Omaha in 1985. They first resided in Ralston and in 2001 she and Dave moved to Gretna. In 1996, she joined the Zurich Companies Branch in Omaha as the Regional Facilities Director where she worked till her retirement 2007. After her retirement, she devoted her time to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church working on the Personnel Committee and to her favorite organization the Omaha Women's Chamber of Commerce as the Treasurer and on the By-Laws Committee. Lorraine was proud of her children, their respective spouses Mark and Jennifer, and her grandchildren Joshua and Lauren Smedley and Nora, Vincent, & Greta Naber. She enjoyed traveling to various parts of the world visiting her children and their families and was dedicated to taking care of her husband David when illness struck. She was energetic, organized, decisive, dedicated, loyal and a champion of all causes. She was a great role model and will always be remembered for her quick sense humor and her infectious smile.
