Mae Louise Emons was born February 29th, 1944 in Julian, NE to Calvin Hilmer Strange and Jewel Dean Anderson. Mae passed away on January 25, 2024 in Lincoln, Nebraska, Nebraska at the age of 79.
Mae was joined in marriage to Ronald Lee Emons on July 5th, 1963 in El Monte, CA.
She was a cook at various schools, daycares, hospitals and nursing homes. Including Concordia University, Seward and East Butler High School, Nevada, MO Schools, Crayon Campus and Williamsburg Daycare in Lincon, NE.
In her free time, she enjoyed doing puzzles, auctions, camping, fishing, sewing and growing plants and flowers. She also collected many varieties of enamelware and salt and pepper shakers that she enjoyed displaying in her home. She loved baking pies, cakes, cinnamon and dinner rolls.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald L. Emons of over 60 years; sons, Ron and Margaret Emons, Omaha, NE, Robin Emons, Gresham, NE, Jason and Melissa Emons Hastings, NE; grandchildren, Amy (Emons) and Scott Hetherington Milford, NE, Danielle (Emons) and Chas Connors, Bee, NE, Nathaniel Emons, Bee, NE, Samuel Emons and Amanda Barker, Omaha, NE, Daisy Mae Emons, Fairbury, NE, Kenney Wochner, Grafton, NE, Zoe (Emons) and Amir Sognon, Cozad, NE, Tyler Emons, Hastings, NE; Brothers/Sister-in-laws Calvin and Carol Strange, Hatfield, MO, Gary and Rita Strange, Nebraska City, NE; many nieces, nephews and cousins and 10 great grandchildren.
Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin H. Strange and Jewel Dean (Anderson) Pottorff; sister Twilla Ann Strange, great granddaughter Bellamie Sognon.
