Melvin Tracy Jones

Melvin Tracy Jones, of Seward, was born on January 18, 1962 to Melvin “Buck” and Joyce (Greenwald) Jones in Lincoln, Nebraska.  Melvin attended high school at Douglas High School, Douglas, Nebraska graduating in 1980.  Following high school, Melvin received his Associates Degree from SCC Southeast Community College in Diesel Technology.  Melvin worked as a diesel mechanic/shop foreman and freight logistics manager for Navistar, Seward Freight and Cornhusker International.  In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and restoring cars.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his sons and grandsons.  Melvin passed away at his home in Seward on October 24, 2021 at the age of 59 years, 9 months and 6 days. He is survived by his mother, Joyce Jones, Douglas, Nebraska; sons, Colton Jones and Tyler Jones, both of Hermosa, South Dakota; grandsons, Lincoln Jones and Barrett Jones; sister, Kim Panko; brother, Randy Jones. Melvin was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Jones; brother, Rusty Jones.
