Michael A. Fitzsimons

Michael Allen Fitzsimons was born on March 6, 1960 to George and Mildred (Einspahr) Fitzsimons in Grand Island, Nebraska.  He attended Grand Island High School graduating with the class of 1978.  On April 15, 1989 Michael was united in marriage to Donna Eret at Friedens United Church of Christ in Seward, Nebraska.  Mike co-owned, Donna's Cleaning Service with his wife.  His previous places of employment included Minchow Construction Company, Blue Valley Contracting, T.J. Osborn Construction Company, Hughes Brothers, Chief Industries and Brownie Manufacturing Company. In his free time, he enjoyed watching football and NASCAR,  fishing, shooting pool, playing guitar and antique cars.  Mike passed away on December 7, 2025 at his home in Seward at the age of 65.  He is survived by his wife, Donna Fitzsimons of Seward; siblings, Karen (James) Skinner of Lincoln, Nebr.,  Angela (Jerry) Krolikowski of Doniphan, Nebr., Galen Fitzsimons of Palmyra, Nebr., Melvin Fitzsimons of Grand Island, Nebr., Rhonda (Rick) Coon of Grand Island, Nebr. , Sheryl (Jeff) Meyer of Alda, Nebr., Bill (Deloris) Fitzsimons of Grand Island, Nebr., Misty Fitzsimons of Grand Island, Nebr. and Susan (Kevin) Hosch of Chapman, Nebr.; mother-in-law; Bonnie Eret of Seward, Nebr., sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Debbie and Dennis Bender of Seward, Nebr. and Doreen and Dale Grimes of Seward, Nebr. numerous nieces and nephews.  Mike was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mildred Fitzsimons; brothers, Lynn Fitzsimons and Brian Fitzsimons, father-in-law; Charles Eret.
