Nicholas James Petersen

Nick was born on March 26, 1987 to Brett and Michelle (Eggers) Petersen in Grand Island, Nebraska. He graduated from Seward High School in 2005. He then attended and graduated from Iowa State University in 2010. He worked for Wells Fargo as a Financial Analyst. On October 29, 2016, Nick was united in marriage to Daphne Clabaugh in West Des Moines, Iowa. In his free time Nick enjoyed pitching horseshoes and watching Husker football. He was also a fan of the hockey teams, Iowa Wild and professional team, Washington Capitals. Nick passed away on May 16, 2017 in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 30 years, 1 month and 20 days. Nick is survived by his wife, Daphne Petersen, West Des Moines, Iowa; mother, Michelle Porter, Seward, Nebraska; father, Brett (Ginny) Petersen, Utica, Nebraska; sisters, Emilie Porter, Seward, Nebraska, Kaitlyn Porter, Seward, Nebraska; stepbrother, David Umland, Whitehall, Michigan; stepsister, Dawn Osborne, Muskegon, Michigan; grandmother, Marsha Eggers. Nick was preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry Eggers; grandparents, Cleo and Ruth Petersen. Visitation Time(s)
