Patricia Janes was born April 8, 1955, to Lilly (Reynolds) and Neal Patterson in Omaha. She passed away peacefully on Dec. 28, 2024, while on a trip in Florida while fully enjoying life with her husband, sister-in-law and granddaughter. Pat attended elementary school in Heartwell until moving to Beaver Crossing and enrolling into the newly-consolidated Centennial Public School in Utica. Shortly after graduation in 1973, she married her high school sweetheart, Dave Janes, on Sept. 21, 1974, at the Beaver Crossing Methodist Church. Over the years living in and around Utica, she raised three kids while serving the community she loved. She worked at the A&B Corner, Flying "V", Utica Community Care Center as a Geriatric Aide, and was a baby-sitter for many Utica-area children. She also took on a loving role at Centennial Public School for 10 years caring and guiding special needs children. More recently, Pat also earned certifications in natural therapy to assist community members suffering with anxiety and stress. Pat has set a loving example for everyone around her and her family will carry on her memory. Her immediate family is her husband, Dave; children, Brianne, Dave Jr., and Brook; sister, Deb (Patterson) Black; and grandchildren, Broderick, Brooklyn, Donovan, Edalyn. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Neal and Lilly Patterson, and her brother, Neal Sid Patterson.
