Rev. John Alfred Wirtz III, of Seward, was born on January 7, 1970 to John Alfred Wirtz Jr. and Jane Loyola (Sullivan) Wirtz in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Belton High School in Belton, Texas. Following high school, he attended Ranger College in Ranger, Texas earning a degree as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. On February 14, 1994, John was united in marriage to Teresa Ann Stephens in Waco, Texas. He served as a minister for the United Pentecostal Church International for 27 years, ending his ministry with his passing 2023. In his free time, he liked to watch sports and was interested in politics and the End Time Prophecy. John passed away on January 26, 2023 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 53 years and 19 days. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Ann Wirtz of Seward, Nebraska; children, Rev. Marshall Aaron (Sumerlyn Dawn) Wirtz of Seward, Nebraska, Mallory Alyssa Wirtz (Jordan Rolan Fant) of Gorman, Texas; brother, Rusty (Karrie) Spinks of Alabama; sisters, Crystal (Bob) Farr of Michigan, Wendy Spinks of Texas; parents, John A. Jr. and Changmi Wirtz of South Korea, Jane and Roger Spinks of Texas; grandfather, John A. Wirtz, Sr. of Texas; grandchildren, Kodie, A.J. and two on the way. John was preceded in death by his grandmother, Eunice Wirtz, grandfather, John Raymond Sullivan and grandmother, Agnes Loyola Sullivan.
VIEWING WILL TAKE PLACE AT VOLZKE FUNERAL HOME DURING VISITATION - THERE WILL BE NO VIEWING ON THE DAY OF THE FUNERAL.
