Robert “Bob” William Pence, of York, was born on January 13, 1928 to William C. and Anna F. (Hays) Pence in York, Nebraska. He attended York High School graduating in 1946. Bob served in the United States Army in Korea from February 1951 to February 1953. On February 11, 1956, Bob was united in marriage to Joan C. Brown in Lincoln, Nebraska. He worked as a farmer for most of his life. Bob was a believer in the Christian faith (For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16). He was a member of York Legion Post #19. Bob passed away on August 25, 2022 in York, Nebraska at the age of 94 years, 7 months and 12 days. He is survived by his wife, Joan C. Pence of York, Nebraska; sons, Shea Pence of Lincoln, Nebraska, Brian Pence of Frisco, Colorado (former daughter-in-law, Viktoriya), Cody (Yvonne) Pence of Stevenson Ranch, California; grandchildren, Sasha Pence, Keanu Pence and Annie Pence. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, William and Annie Pence; brother, Tom Pence; brother-in-law; sister-in-law; and nephew.
