Roberta E Chilcoat

Roberta Eileen Chilcoat was born on May 1, 1947 to Robert and Mary (Gant) Herman in Sioux City, Iowa.  She attended Southeast High School graduating in 1965.  Following high school she attended the University of Nebraska earning her RN and BSN Degree in Nursing.  On August 30, 1980 Roberta was united in marriage to Wayne Chilcoat in Lincoln, Nebraska.  She worked at Seward Memorial Hospital as an RN.  In her free time, Roberta enjoyed Nebraska football.  She loved spending time with her family, her pets - Diesel, Benji, Champ, Nellie, Sandy, Boots, Griddy and her horses - Black Hawk, Jewel and Pistol. She never met a stranger. If you knew Berta, you knew you were loved by her and you were always in her prayers. Roberta passed away on November 25, 2024 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 77. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Chilcoat of Seward, Nebraska; daughters, Heidi (Chris) Gilbertson and Sarah Chilcoat both of Seward, Nebraska; granddaughters, Skylar, Kyrsten and Kaydence Gilbertson; brothers, Terry (Deonne) Herman and Ron Herman; sisters-in-law, Cheryl (Mike) Minard, Donna (Bill) Gooden; nephews, Micah (Jennifer) Herman, Travis Herman, Shawn (Michelle) Herman, David (Sharon) Herman; nieces, Jessica (Mark) Solomon, Terra Herman, Tami (Patrick) McBurney, Carrie (Scott) Saiauski; and many great nieces and nephews. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Herman.
