Roger F. Van Ooyen

Roger Van Ooyen was born on September 29, 1943 to John and Clara (Refke) Van Ooyen in Michigan City, Indiana.  He graduated from Neena-Menasha High School in Menasha, Wisconsin. On March 30, 1970 Roger was united in marriage to Linda Geiger in Lincoln, Nebraska.  He worked in construction, carpentry and plumbing.  He was also a Building Inspector for the City of Seward.  In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, camping and carpentry. Roger passed away on September 28, 2024 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 80.  He is survived by his wife, Linda Van Ooyen of Seward, Nebraska; sons, T.J. (Ashley) Van Ooyen of Cotopaxi, Colorado and Dan Van Ooyen of Lincoln, Nebraska; grandsons, Wyatt and Drew Van Ooyen.  Roger was preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara Van Ooyen; son, Chris Van Ooyen; brother, Don Van Ooyen; sister, Shirley Peters.
