Roxanna Marie (Walford) Schultze was born on July 15, 1942 to Lloyd and Lucille (Gondringer) Walford in Stromsburg, Nebraska. In her younger years she attended Waylen Independent Elementary until eighth grade. She then attended Gresham High School graduating in 1961. In 1962 she was chosen as Miss Gresham. On September 12, 1964 Roxanna was united in marriage to Ronald Schultze at United Methodist Church in Gresham, Pastor Wesley Miltner officiated. Roxanna Schultze was a self-employed in-home childcare provider and a farmer’s wife. Later she worked as a meal prep line cook for 36 years at the same truck stop in Waco, Nebraska. During her employment the location’s name changed from Travel Centers of America, to Burns Brothers and finally to Waco Truck Stop. She was best known for her enormous homemade cinnamon rolls. She especially enjoyed attending her kids and grandkids activities from instrumental performances, sporting events, antique tractor pulls to dance recitals and dance competitions. She also was fond of taking road trips with her husband Ron. Some of the drives were local to others being a farther distance, visiting her two sisters or traveling to visit her oldest daughter, Malinda and family. Roxanna passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025 at her home in Gresham. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Schultze of Gresham, Nebraska; children, Malinda (Mark) Loest of Frankenmuth, Michigan, DeVon Grossnicklaus (Ken Ashton) of Shelby, Nebraska; grandchildren, Audrey(Kenton) Smith, Anna (Charlie) Russell, Abigail Loest, Andrew Loest, Alexander Loest, Blake Grossnicklaus (Blake Eller), Grant Grossnicklaus; great grandchild coming August 2025, Little Miss Russell (parents-to-be, Anna and Charlie Russell); siblings, Dale Walford (Twyla Mingus) of York, Nebraska, Janis (Roger) Neujahr of Gothenburg, Nebraska, Don Walford of Wahoo, Nebraska, Sandy (Curtis) Roth of Gordon, Nebraska, Terry (Claudia) Walford of Lincoln, Nebraska, Larry (Joann) Walford of Gresham, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Marlene (John) Olson; many nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Lucille Walford; parents-in-law, Edward and Gladys Schultze; younger brother, Larry Walford.
