Ruth Sophia Anderson

Ruth was born on September 6, 1914 to Henry and Elizabeth (Rogge) Heyen in rural Milford, Nebraska. She attended school through the twelfth grade at Milford High School. On August 30, 1932, Ruth was united in marriage to Duane Anderson in Crete, Nebraska. Ruth was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. In her free time she enjoyed quilting, crocheting and sewing. She was a member of West Blue Church of rural Milford and Eagles Club of Seward. Ruth passed away on September 28, 2017 in Milford, Nebraska at the age of 103 years and 22 days. She is survived by her sons, Donald (Virginia) Anderson, Melbourne, Florida, Dale Anderson (friend, Joyce Forst), Seward, Nebraska, Kenneth (Linda) Anderson, Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren, Tammy (Dave) McLaren, Rita (Doug) Martin, Roxanne (Larry) Kerley, Marty (Cindy) Anderson, Corey (April) Anderson, Eric (Kelly) Anderson, Dan (Bernice) Anderson, Wendy Anderson, Kevin Anderson, Kelly (Kathy) Anderson, Michelle Neihardt, Lisa (Nik) Ditzler, Jeffrey Neihardt (Stacey Strole); granddaughter-in-law, Bonnie (Tom) Kemper; 29 great grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Elizabeth Heyen; husband, Duane Anderson; daughter, Sharon (Daniel) Neihardt; daughter-in-law, Rita Anderson; grandson, Steve Anderson.
