Susan D Nordrum

Susan Nordrum was born on June 17, 1948 to Deacon Ruben and Consuelo "Connie" (Parra) Barela in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She attended Del Norte High School. She was a homemaker.  Susan had a deep love for the Lord.  In her free time, she enjoyed, writing, creating online content, evangelism and watching K-dramas. She loved her cats, Bunny and Sherbert.  She especially enjoyed caring for her family and celebrating special occasions and milestones with them. Susan passed away on October 21, 2024 in Crete, Nebraska at the age of 76.  She is survived by her father, Deacon Ruben Barla of Albuquerque, New Mexico. children, Karen (Howard) Johnston of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Roy (Connie) Peterson of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Ryan Hinz of Crete, Nebraska and Erin Hinz of Crete, Nebraska; grandchildren, Steve Enriquez; Jordan, Tyson and Cadence Lanier; Meghan and Dakota Kempken; Lauren and Clifford Martinez; Riley and Katherine Peterson; sister, Cathy Barela; sister and brother-in-law, Therese and Leroy C'deBaca; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Sandy Barela and cousin, Mary Rodriguez.  Susan was preceded in death by her mother, Connie Barela; brother, Dominic Barela.
