Susan Williams Obituary

Susan Diane (Jacobson) Williams, daughter of Vincent C.E. and Viola (Lemmerman) Jacobson, passed away on July 13th 2021, at the age of 64 years, 9 months, and 17 days. She was born September 26, 1956, in Seward, NE.

Susan was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward and attended school at St. John Lutheran School through the eighth grade. She graduated from Seward High School (1974), Lincoln School of Commerce (1974), and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in (1978).

She was united in marriage to James Warren Williams August 11, 1983, at Hazel Abel Park in Lincoln, and had three children; Kristoffer Brady (1986), Jacob Carey (1988) and Jesse Reed (1996). She had been employed at Bryan Memorial Hospital, Lincoln Regional Center, State of Nebraska Social Security Disability Determinations, and Rivendell Psychiatric Center, but she always believed that her most important and enjoyable work was raising her three boys.

She enjoyed time with her family, her son's many sporting events, RV camping, yoga classes, reading, garage sales, trail walking, Concordia University women’s basketball, taking her girlfriends on spontaneous tours of Seward, Lincoln and surrounding areas, and winter vacationing and visiting family in Florida, California, and North Carolina.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Charles, mother, Viola, and father Vincent. She is survived by her husband, James, and their three sons, sisters Nancy Goodell, of Pasadena, CA and Judy Krenk of the Villages, FL, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
