Zachary Lane Clausen of Lincoln NE lost his life in an airplane crash on November 9, 2022 in North Platte NE at the age of 22 years 4 months and 6 days. Born in Lincoln, NE on July 3, 2000 to Steve and Andrea Clausen.
Zachary attended Lincoln Lutheran for 3 years before graduating from Lincoln East in 2019. Following high school Zach worked at Clausen Construction and Diamond Concrete where he operated heavy equipment and concrete demo detail. He also owned Clausen Excavating.
Zachary was a football star and a natural born athlete. He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his daughter Roayn, who lit up his whole world. His favorite place to be was at the lake boating and having fun. He was kind and a hard worker who didn’t know a stranger, who would drop what he was doing to come help anyone in need. He had a calming presence that touched the hearts of many and was an inspiration to everyone that knew him. He was larger than life and lived it to the fullest.
He is survived by his parents, Steve and Andrea Clausen of Lincoln Nebraska; daughter, Roayn Clausen; paternal grandparent, Karen Clausen of Utica, Nebraska; maternal grandparents, Robert and Trish Lippe of Hamilton, Illinois; uncle, Scott Lippe of Des Moines, Iowa; aunt, Krista (Shadd) Rohrbough of Lincoln Nebraska; girlfriend, Mikala Pelzer of Waukee, Iowa; cousins, Kaleb Blakemore of Lincoln, Nebraska, Wyatt, Dylan and Paige Lindstrom of Hickman, Nebraska; other family members and countless friends. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparent, Bryce Clausen.
