Arlin Naber was born on the family farm near Utica, Nebraska on March 28, 1917, to Herman and Mathilda (Scheele) Naber. He graduated from Utica High School. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army from 1942-1945. Arlin was an active member of the American Legion for over 60 years. On May 12, 1941, Arlin married Roberta Fischer. After Roberta died, Arlin married Arlene Schultz on December 19, 1987. They moved to La Feria, Texas in 1991. Arlin passed away on September 22, 2010 in La Feria, Texas at the age of 93 years. He is survived by his wife Arlene Naber who resides in Retama Manor Nursing Home in Harlingen, Texas; two sons and their wives, David and Lorraine Naber of Omaha, Nebraska and Brian and Sharon Naber of Allen, Texas; daughter, Gale Ann Dennison of Mason, Ohio; brother and his wife, Raymond and Vivian Naber of Utica, Nebraska; sister Edna Kruse of Lakeview, Iowa; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Arlin was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Roberta; brother and sister-in-law, Roland and Mary Naber; sister-in-law Mary E. Naber; sister, Irene Naber; brother-in-law, Harley Kruse.
