Wallace “Wally” Harrison Mundhenke was born on December 13, 1929 to Wallace and Leonora (Herpolsheimer) Mundhenke in Milford, NE. He graduated from Seward High School in Seward NE. Wallace served in the United States Air Force from April 1, 1951 to December 21, 1952. On July 20, 1968, Wallace was united in marriage to Kathryn Timme at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward, NE. Wallace was a farmer for most of his life. He also owned Skelly Gas Station in Milford, NE. Wally’s hobbies included skeet shooting, bowling, and he was on a bowling league. He was also a laborer of Christ and helped build churches even in Eagle, NE. Wallace passed away on November 2, 2015 in Lincoln, NE at the age of 85 years, 10 months and 20 days. He is survived by his step-sons, Ken (Carol) Whyrick, Jacksonville, FL, John Whyrick, Colorado Springs, CO, Edward (Dawn) Whyrick, Lincoln, NE; step-daughter, Joyce (Roger) Balfour, Carmi, IL; brother-in-law, Kenneth Timme, Lincoln, NE; sister-in-law, Linda Mundhenke, Lincoln, NE. Wallace was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Leonora Mundhenke; wife, Kathryn Mundhenke; brother, Donald Mundhenke; sister and brother-in-law, Jeannett and Gail Griffiths; sister-in-law, Erma Timme.
