Merle Ross Albright was born on May 7, 1942 to Thomas Martin and Ruth Irene (Allen) Albright in Hoyt, Kansas. He attended school in Colby, Kansas and graduated from high school in 1960. He then attended Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. On January 10, 1976, Merle was united in marriage to Elaine Kay Wetzel in Hays, Kansas. He worked as a farmer for most of his life. He also repaired diesel fuel injector pumps on diesel engines. Merle and his son Brian started a mowing service that grew quite large. He retired in 2003. Merle was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Seward. In his free time he enjoyed Kansas State University football and baseball. He also liked to tinker in the garage and enjoyed old western movies. Merle passed away on December 10, 2019 in Seward, Nebraska at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 3 days. Merle is survived by his wife, Elaine Kay Albright, Seward, Nebraska; son, Brian (KaiPing) Albright, Seward, Nebraska; daughter, Maria Albright, Topeka, Kansas; brother, Benjamin Albright, Ft. Mohave, Arizona; sisters, Janice (Gerald) Kinsley, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Glenda Albright, Colby, Kansas, Melanie (William) Wetzel, Augusta, Kansas; sister-in-law, Edith Albright, Chenoa, Illinois; brother-in-law, Derek Baily, Crescent City, Florida; grandchildren, Martin and Kayla Albright. Merle was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Ruth Albright; brother, Tom Albright; sisters, Kay Albright, Carol Baily; sister-in-law, Pat Albright.
